Abstract

Hybrid breeding of watermelon

has

led
to the formation of high-yielding varieties.

Indonesian Tropical Fruit Research Institute (ITFRI) collection and to evaluate the superiority of each hybrid. The research has been conducted at Sumani Experimental Garden, ITFRI

ABSTRAK

Pendewaan hibrida pada mendikai menjurus kepada pembentukan varietas berdaya hasil strata. Penelitian bertujuan bagi memafhumi keragaan hibrida semangka pusparagam Balitbu Tropika dan cak bagi mengevaluasi keunggulan sendirisendiri hibrida Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Sumani, Balitbu Tropika, Solok, Sumatera Barat, berpokok bulan April sampai dengan Juli 2022. Materi nan digunakan terdiri mulai sejak 19 kombinasi persilangan. Data hasil penelitian deskriptif ini ditampilkan dalam gambar bidang dan lembaga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hibrida yang diuji memiliki keragaman kerumahtanggaan dimensi, warna kulit biji kemaluan, warna daging buah, ketebalan indra peraba biji kemaluan dan kecantikan. Belum ditemukan hibrida yang memiliki tiga karakter menang, yang terdiri dari bobot biji zakar sedang, total padatan terlarut (besaran soluble solid) tinggi, dan selerang biji zakar asa rimbun. Hibrida nan n kepunyaan keunggulan kasatmata rasa manis dan tahan simpan adalah BT1 × SGP, BT4 × BT4P, BT5 × BT4, BT6 × SGP dan SGP × BT6.
